Rocky the Otterhound: Happy New Year!!

Rocky and Rosie wish everyone a happy new year!

The beginning of 2010 is an important time for Rocky ........ He is now two and a half years old which means he is officially a mature Otterhound! Ta dah!!

Looking back, you can see the development as our little boy has grown from pup into dog.

At an early age (nine weeks) Rocky had a desire to play with things .....

..... By twelve weeks he had decided that the cuddly toy was king .....

..... At five months he was willing to occasionally sidestep to the odd cardboard tube ..... But only if there was someone attached to the other end!

Six months saw the soft toy firmly embedded as his favourite again.

Seven months ....

..... At eight months, hard plastic had a look in, but it didn't last .....

Nine months saw a return of an old favourite .... the soft plastic plant pot!

Ten months saw the emergence of the soft latex toy as a firm favourite ........ But that didn't last long either!

Eleven months saw multitasking skills appearing ..... Pin down your human whilst playing with a stick!

One year was outdoor toy time!

By now he looked like beginning to put away childish things and, like humans, start to grow into a man (I mean dog)!!

Thirteen months, oopsy ..... Slipped back to soft and fluffy!

Fourteen months ....... teach the kitten which are "my toys"!

Fifteen months ...... An ongoing job!

Sixteen months ..... "Yes I'll smile for the camera but ...... Must have a toy"!!

Seventeen months ..... someone else to educate about toys!

Eighteen months ....... Balls are for chewing ..... Obviously!!

Nineteen months, cardboard tubes without humans attached.

Twenty months a grown up bone!

Twenty one months ...... "Mine"!

Twenty two months, still with the soft toys ..... For a little bit of home!

Twenty three months ..... "Mine"!

Two years ....... "You're not getting this one"!

Two and a quarter years ...... "Don't even think of it ...... It's Mine"!

A few days short of maturity ...... "Mine"!

Two and a half years!!

What do you think ....... Is this the face of a fully matured hound?!

Ah well! Sigh!

Night, night Rocky ..... Sleep well and dream of being all grown up!!!
