Rocky the Otterhound: An Otterhound Welcome!

This week started like any other for Rocky, Rosie and Mij.

The usual walks, cuddles and games!

However, mid week started to get very interesting as Dan came home from university. He was in for an Otterhound welcome!!

There were gentle kisses from Rosie.

A delicate pat on the head from Rocky .....

..... "Welcome home mate"!!

This slightly reserved (and very British) welcome soon gave way to the Otterhound gentle kisses!

Rosie, feeling that she hadn't quite got across how happy she was to see him, decided that some more Rosie loves were in order! .......

..... "I'll just walk across Rocky to get close, he won't mind"!

And he didn't!!

"Oh heck, have a cuddle ..... I'm really very happy to see you"!!!

Down on the floor again, dan's hand was gently pulled towards Rocky who proceeded to gentle wash "university" off of it!

Meanwhile, Rosie decided there were still more loves and cuddles to be shared!

"It's alright Rocky ...... I love you too"!

"Yes, it's alright Rocky, I love you too .....Too"!!!

"Oh, he's taken his coat off, he's staying"!!

"Did we tell you how happy we are to see you"?!

Every opportunity was taken to reassure Dan that he was welcome and that they were pleased he had decided to stay a while.

At the weekend, their week was made complete as more members of the family turned up to stay a while!

Needless to say, once they had been dried off after their welcome, it was time for lots of loves!

If you are going to take a nap ...... The best place is on a beloved visitor! ......

..... Makes sure they don't slip away while your guard is down!!!

"Never mind him, give us a kiss gorgeous"!

"Never mind her gorgeous, give us a kiss"!

"Oh, and you too gorgeous"!

Rocky takes advantage of a new playmate!

"If you love me and you know it, give me loves"!

"Ah, this is the life, oh down a bit - left a bit - ah yes"!

An Otterhound welcome is wonderful, full of love and fun ....... OK, it can be a bit damp if they really get kissing ....... But it's really worth it!!!

But like all worthwhile ventures, it can leave you a little tired!

And night night Rocky, close your eyes and dream of lots of loves and hugs ...... Lovely!!!
